College Scholarships

Each year, Pella Cooperative Electric awards three $1,000 scholarships to encourage and recognize the achievements of area students:

  • One $1,000 is awarded to a senior at Pella Christian High School.

  • One $1,000 is awarded to a senior at Pella High School.

  • One $1,000 is awarded to a senior at any other high school or to a home schooled student

As one of the seven Cooperative Principles, "Concern for Community" is demonstrated by Pella Cooperative Electric with its belief in empowering our youth.

One of the ways we adhere to this principle is through the scholarships we award. Scholarship applicants must have parents or guardians who are members of Pella Cooperative Electric (those who receive electric service from us), must currently be a high school senior, and must plan to continue their education at a two- or four-year institution. Scholarship recipients are selected by a committee of individuals who are not affiliated with Pella Cooperative Electric.
